The paramount goal for Christian education is that each student internalize God’s Truth creating a Christian mind leading to Christian character and ultimately a Christ-centric lifestyle.
This transformation involves the head, heart, and hands of each student involved in the school's educational process. The head represents the intellect; the heart represents the spiritual and emotional; and the hands represent service to others.
When all three are engaged (head, heart, and hands) the outcome will impact the student's world for Christ.
The VAIS academic program is a rigorous, American-based college/university preparatory program. All courses are taught in the English language (excluding foreign language classes).
VAIS students are expected to work hard to achieve the highest academic standing possible. To graduate from VAIS students must have a minimum of 4 Bible credits, 4 English credits, 3-4 Math credits, 3-4 Science credits, 3-4 Social Studies/History credits along with elective credits totaling 24 credit hours.
VAIS and SevenStar Academy partner together in the school's academic program, working in tandem to provide an accredited high school program leading to a US high school diploma. VAIS and SevenStar Academy are committed to preparing students for the next chapter of their lives. All courses are rigorous and designed to exceed the U.S. national education standards.
All VAIS and SevenStar teachers are committed Christians who have graduated from university with a Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in education or a related field. All are subject matter experts in their field of study and have broad educational experience.
The teacher to student ratio is 1:8. Effective teaching and small teacher-student ratios are strong indicators for student success.
Our students have had the opportunity to study in different countries during their time with VAIS. To date our students have studied in Albania, Montenegro, and Bosnia. Plans for campuses in other locations are under consideration.
Students study in the American system while participating in various local activities outside the campus to fully experience the history, culture, and customs of the region in which they reside.
Kitchen services provide three healthy meals and one snack per day, seven days a week. Our meals are mainly Chinese food, supplemented with western food, to provide good nutritional balance for the students.
There are weekly activities such as church, hiking, swimming, and clubs (art, digital photography, speech, culinary, etc.) which are led by our caring and competent staff. VAIS pays attention to the differences of each student and provides professional and personalized counseling and guidance services.
